@javelin1010 Except it is not a “thin line”. There is a huge difference. Hoarders are people with a serious mental illness. This is a compulsive disorder that can’t just be changed that easily. For people with mental illness it is often hard to see that you have a problem in the first place, not too mention change your entire psyche. Hoarders can be changed, yes. But it takes more than just cleaning their house. They need professional help.

so i clean my room && like take out like 10 baggs of trashh my mom wont let me throw it away until she goes threw it.. and when she does theres like 2 baggs of trash she is such e hoarder

0:23 honestly. this is not hard to diagnose. seeing how nearly 90% of of these “hoarders” are over well 50yrs old. its simple dementia/retardation mixed with an attachment disorder.

@KicksnChicks23 Did you not know that the problem is not laziness? My Aunt is a severe hoarder and yet when it comes to her work she is the hardest workerever. It is an emotional thing. You really dont have the right to judge other peoples lives when your too damn stupid to even look for the reasons as to why their lives are like that.

idk if it is laziness like some ppl say or an actual mental illness like others say but either way, in my opinion it is disgusting and im not one for having ppl children taken away but they should not be allowed to keep children in a house like that it is dangerous and disgusting. what gets me is when authorities are called wether its child protective services or adult protective services or animal control, that is when ppl want to “change” bullcrap!!! i think its an act!!!
